Anime to Match Your Personal Summer Vacation Vibe

Spend your summer vacation with some anime marathons!

The school year is over, and (for some of us) it’s time to relax for a few glorious months. Each of us has a different idea of how to kick back… fortunately, we’ve got an anime to match your summer vacation vibe!

Whether you’re looking for action or rest, we’ve got your next binge-watching marathon all set. What will you be enjoying this summer?

City Hunter: For Summer Blockbuster Fans

City Hunter

For some of us, summer vacation means getting to the local movie theater and taking in the latest action flicks. If that’s what you’re in the mood for, you’ll want to dive into City Hunter. Based on Tsukasa Hojo’s classic manga, this series follows Ryo and his partner Kaori as they take on Shinjuku’s toughest jobs. For Ryo, that means cleaning up criminal messes; for Kaori, that means cleaning up after Ryo.

It’s also a great time to get into City Hunter because there’s a new film on the way! City Hunter the Movie: Angel Dust will delve into the series’s origin story, and cross over once again with Cat’s Eye. So you’ll be more than ready to check out the new film!

Laid-Back Camp: For Outdoors Types

Laid-Back Camp

For those of you spending summer vacation abroad, give Laid-Back Camp a try! The cozy manga and its anime adaptation sparked new interest in camping, and it’s easy to see why. Rin, Nadeshiko, and their friends delight in the friendship and relaxation that comes with roughing it in the great outdoors.

It’s also a great watch if you wish you could go camping this summer, but don’t have the opportunity. And if you want to live even more vicariously, there’s a new Laid-Back Camp mobile game that lets you virtually visit real scenic locations. Whether you dig into one or both, it’s a great way to satisfy that travel bug!

The Sleepy Princess in the Demon Castle: For the Rest of Us

Sleepy Princess in the Demon Castle

Or maybe you just want to spend summer vacation sleeping in. Which is perfectly valid. In which case, join us in marathoning The Sleepy Princess in the Demon Castle.

Princess Syalis, much like us, would do just about anything for a solid snooze. Even being kidnapped by demons isn’t enough to stop her. In fact, it works in her favor. As she remodels her castle prison into the coziest bedroom, she charms her captors. Well, except for the ones she’s using as bedding materials. We respect her priorities, and we salute her quest for a perfect night’s sleep. If only that could be us.

Spending your summer gaming? Check out these anime for Tears of the Kingdom fans!
