Starting with episode 1139, the long-running ONE PIECE anime got a new opening song with the help of Japanese rock band ELLEGARDEN. Now a music video is here for the song, “CARMINE,” which marks the 28th overall opening theme since the adaptation kicked off back in 1999.
Filmed in the Tokyo suburbs on July 16, the video had about 300 fans gathering along with the band as extras recruited via the official website. On the second and third days after its digital release on August 10, “CARMINE” hit the #3 spot in Oricon’s digital single daily charts.
