Digimon Adventure Marks 25th with New Video, Teases New Project

Digimon Adventure Marks 25th with New Video, Teases New ProjectBelieve it or not, Digimon Adventure is 25 years old. The anime franchise kicked off in 1999 with the original 54-episode series back in 1999, which was adapted into Digimon: Digital Monsters in English-speaking territories. The franchise also includes multiple follow-up seasons, films, video games and more.

The video released today uses the original opening theme “Butter-Fly” by Koji Wada alongside a “completely new video traces the trajectory of that summer’s adventures, presented as a token of gratitude to all the “children” of the world,” according to the official description. It’s directed by Masao Okubo with storyboards from Yu Kamatani.

In addition, official Digimon social media channels are teasing some sort of announcement on January 5, 2025. What will it be?! We’ll find out in a few months!
