Things are about to get even wilder at Universal Studios Japan’s Super Nintendo World theme park. The Mario-themed area is getting ready to expand into the world of Donkey Kong Country, which will open in the park in spring 2024.
This follows the initial announcement of the Donkey Kong Country portion back in 2021. The new area will expand Super Nintendo World by roughly 70 percent as it adds a new roller coaster along with themed activities, restaurants and shops.

Super Nintendo World is currently open as part of Universal Studios Japan and Universal Studios Hollywood. It’s also set to come as part of the Epic Universe Park that’s in the works in Orlando sometime in 2025, followed by other locations like Singapore.
