The Ranking of Kings TV Anime SPECIAL EVENT ~Summer Festival~ was, understandably, previously supposed to be held last July, just in time for summer! Those plans were eventually canceled, but now Bojji and co. are set to return with a new date in place. It might not quite be summer yet, but the event will take place in Tokyo on March 19.

The cast from the anime will make an appearance at the event, with the only one not able to make it being Despa voice actor Takehiro Sakurai. Cast members attending include Kage VA Ayumu Murase, who previously caused the original event to be canceled after contracting COVID-19 prior to its scheduled kickoff.

The Ranking of Kings TV Anime SPECIAL EVENT ~Summer Festival~ will be held at Tokyo Parthenon Tama.

Shortly after the event takes place, Ranking of Kings fans can look forward to the followup, Yuki no Takarabako (Treasure Chest of Courage) when it airs this April.

Here’s how Crunchyroll describes the series:

How prosperous your nation is, how many powerful warriors it boasts, and how heroic and strong its king is. These are the criteria that factor into the system known as the Ranking of Kings. The main character, Bojji, was born the first prince of the kingdom ruled by King Bossu, who is ranked number seven. But Bojji was born unable to hear and is so powerless that he can’t even swing a sword. In consequence, his own retainers and the public, look down upon him as completely unfit to be king. It is then that Bojji finds his first friend, Kage, and Bojji’s life takes a dramatic turn…
