Veteran Voice Actor Ryuji Mizuno Passes Away at 70

It is with a heavy heart that we all bid farewell to veteran voice actor Ryuji Mizuno, who voiced a number of anime characters over the course of his storied career. According to talent agency Theater Company Subaru, Mizuno passed away on September 12 due to systemic sepsis caused by pneumonia. He was 70 years old. 

Mizuno’s prominent anime roles include Giichi in Naruto, Meme Midgard in Turn A Gundam, Julius in Berserk and Master in ZOMBIE LAND SAGA REVENGE. He also voiced some smaller parts in anime over the years, and provided dubbing for foreign films like Back to the Future, the Star Trek and James Bond movies, and the Star Wars series, for which he was the voice of the Jedi Ki-Adi-Mundi. 

Mizuno’s family and friends will hold a private funeral.
