It’s officially been a year since the popular Umamusume: Pretty Derby mobile game launched on iOS and Android devices in Japan, so a celebration is in order. To mark the occasion, the official Pakatube YouTube channel for Cygames’ series started streaming a special anime.
Featuring production by Studio KAI, the special anime has Kei Okawa (This Art Club Has a Problem!) back at the helm along with scenario director Tetsuya Kobari and writer Meiko Matsuno. Character designers Yousuke Kabashima and Tomoko Tsuji are back, as well, with the latter also handling chief animation director duties while Keita Fukuda returns as animation director.
The ending theme song, “Ambitious World,” comes from voice cast members Hinaki Yano and Hina Tachibana as Kitasan Black and Satono Diamond, respectively. While it’s currently only in Japanese, you can check it all out in the video below.
