The Love After World Domination anime—based on the manga by Hiroshi Noda and Takahiro Wakamatsu—is on the docket for 2022, and some new cast members have been revealed in the latest update. The series has Kazuya Iwata (Cute Executive Officer) directing, with Satoru Sugizawa on scripts, so let’s take a look at three more VA announcements and their respective character designs while we wait for the premiere.
Chafurin (Inspector Megure in Case Closed) plays Professor Big Gelato:
Tomokazu Sugita (Gintoki in Gintama) plays Supreme Leader Bosslar:
Hiroki Yasumoto (King in One-Punch Man) plays Culverin Bear:
They join previously announced cast, including the two leads, Yusuke Kobayashi (Re:ZERO‘s Subaru Natsuki) as Fudo Aikawa, AKA Red Gelato, and Ikumi Hasegawa (Vladilena Milizé in 86 EIGHTY-SIX) as Desumi Magahara, AKA Queen of Death.
Kodansha Comics just started putting the manga out digitally in English and sums up the story like so:
There are two sides to every coin…light vs. dark, good vs. evil, love vs. hate. Sometimes the line between the two grows thin…and it’s so, so easy to cross. So it’s no surprise that Fudo Aikawa, A.K.A. Red Gelato of the Gelato Five and hero to all people, just may have happened to fall for the villainess and member of the shadow organization Gekko, Desumi Magahara! But when opposites like these attract, there’s more than a few obstacles to their love…! What’s a pair like this to do?
