New Trailer Released for Hula Fulla Dance Anime from Violet Evergarden Writer

The anime movie Hula Fulla Dance is coming to Japanese theaters on December 3. A trailer has been streamed that gives more information on the cast.

Karen Miyama plays Kanna Kamakura, Miu Tomita plays Ranko Takigawa, Kaori Maeda plays Ohana Kaʻaihue, and Emiri Suyama plays Shion Shirasawa.

Turning to the crew, Shinya Watada of Aikatsu Stars! is directing, and Seiji Mizushima of Fullmetal Alchemist is supervising director. Reiko Yoshida of Violet Evergarden and Liz and the Blue Bird is in charge of writing the movie’s script, while Michiru Oshima of Fullmetal Alchemist is in charge of the music.

The movie follows hula dancers at Spa Resort Hawaiians hotel. Spa Resort Hawaiians hotel is an actual place, but it’s located in Japan, not Hawaii.

Though the movie isn’t out yet, there’s already a manga adaptation being published in Japan.
