The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD Revealed for Switch

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD Revealed for SwitchThe good news: there’s more Zelda coming to Switch. The bad news: it ain’t Breath of the Wild 2, at least not yet.

At today’s Nintendo Direct, Nintendo announced an HD port of the game The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword for Switch. Aside from HD graphics, it’ll feature motion controls modified to fit the Switch’s controllers.

Producer Eiji Aonuma says the “controls [on the Switch] are smoother and even more intuitive” than on the Wii. The video embedded here gives a preview of how the controls will work.

It’ll be released alongside Skyward Sword-themed Joy-Cons July 16.

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword was originally released back in 2011 on the Wii.
