Enka Singer Takes on Frieza in Dragon Ball Legends Commercial

When it comes to absurdly powerful intergalactic villains like Frieza, it usually takes someone as strong as Goku to have a fighting chance against them. That hasn’t stopped others from trying, and the most recent contender is a popular 43-year-old enka singer, Kiyoshi Hikawa, who joins Goku in an effort to take down Frieza once and for all in a new commercial for the Dragon Ball Legends mobile game.
Watch as the battle goes down—complete with Hikawa’s OP theme for Dragon Ball Super and narration from Goku’s legendary voice, the 84-year-old Masako Nozawa—in the video below.
A video of Hikawa performing “Genkai Toppa x Survivor” during a 2018 concert has been viewed over 8.5 million times.
