Following the less than warm reception to the live-action Sonic the Hedgehog trailer, director Jeff Fowler promised to fix the design before release. The fact that Sonic was set for this November had everyone feeling a little nervous for the artists and animators that would be feeling the most pressure, but thankfully the feature has officially been delayed to provide a little breathing room for everyone involved.
Fowler made the announcement himself on Twitter, promising that no VFX artists were harmed during the process. Sonic the Hedgehog is now set to open on February 14, 2020, so start planning your Valentine’s Day dates accordingly.
