Hello Kitty’s 45th anniversary tour continues, and the Sanrio mascot’s next stop involves paying a visit to children’s TV anime Crayon Shin-chan. Kitty will be featured in the first episode of Japan’s new Reiwa era, which starts on May 1. The episode itself is set to air on May 10.
The “Kitty-chan vs. Burii-chan da zo!” episode will be set in the Sanrio-themed indoor park Puroland, in which Hello Kitty bumps into an impostor named Burii-chan. Together with Shinnosuke, Hello Kitty aims to take down this new rival.
This isn’t the first time Hello Kitty has teamed up with Crayon Shin-chan as part of the 45th anniversary celebration. Earlier this year, Sanrio announced a collaboration that included a one-shot manga, goods, and more.
