Quite a few announcements went down at this past weekend’s Sakura-Con and Anime Boston and, as usual, Funimation had their fair share of series to add to their bursting lineup. Among them: Fairy Tail and Aria the Scarlet Ammo.
The former, based on Hiro Mashima’s manga of the same name, originally debuted in North America as a simulcast over at Crunchyroll. Now Funimation have licensed the first 48 episodes, including an English dub that’s currently in the works, for release on DVD and Blu-ray later this year.
Among their announcements at Anime Boston was the acquisition of Aria the Scarlet Ammo, which is set to simulcast starting Tuesday, April 26 at 10:00 a.m. Central. The 13-episode series is directed by Takashi Watanabe (Casshan: Robot Hunter OVA, Slayers) with Animation Production by J.C. Staff.
