86–EIGHTY-SIX Light Novel Leaps to the Screen in First Anime Promo

Writer Asato Asato and illustrator Sarabi’s popular light novel series 86–EIGHTY-SIX is next in line for an anime adaptation, and Sword Art Online studio A-1 Pictures is on the job! The series is officially lined up for an April 2021 premiere, with the latest update revealing the main staff, lead cast, and the first trailer.

Toshimasa Ishii is directing the adaptation, with Toshiya Ono on series composition, Tetsuya Kawakami on character designs, Shirogumi on CG production, and Hiroyuki Sawano and Kohta Yamamoto handling the music. The lead roles of Shin and Lena go to Shoya Chiba and Ikumi Hasegawa, respectively.
