The Thousand-Year-Blood War anime wasn’t the only project revealed for Bleach and its author, Tite Kubo. There’s also his one-shot spinoff, Burn the Witch, which is officially getting an anime film adaptation sometime this year.
Studio Colorido (Penguin Highway, Pokémon: Twilight Wings) is handling animation production for the feature, with Tatsuro Kawano (Penguin Highway storyboarder, Naruto Shippuden animation director, and more) directing. Yuina Yamada and Asami Tano are voicing Noel Niihashi and Spangle Ninii, respectively.
In addition to the anime film, Burn the Witch will receive a regular weekly serialization in the pages of Weekly Shonen Jump, with the manga set to kick off as a series this summer, followed by the movie this fall. Check out the movie’s trailer below.
