A few months ago, it was announced a new anime adaptation of samurai manga Peacemaker Kurogane was in the works.

Now it’s been revealed White Fox, the studio behind Re:Zero, Steins;Gate and Akame ga Kill! is set to do some peace making.

The announcement comes with the release of volume 11 of the Peacemaker Kurogane manga, which is written and illustrated by Nanae Chrono and has been in serialization since 2001.

The series, which takes place during the 19th century and follows revenge-bent main character Tetsunosuke Ichimura as he joins the special Shinsengumi police force, was previously adapted into a 24-episode anime series by Gonzo back in 2003.

White Fox is also at work on the upcoming Matoi the Sacred Slayer and Steins;Gate 0.
