Watch the First Teaser for Makoto Shinkai’s Latest

Makoto Shinkai has been popping out work in some form for more than a decade, and has produced some pretty fantastic animation over that period. You may be familiar with any number of these, from 2002’s Voices of a Distant Star to 2007’s 5 Centimeters Per Second.

As far as anime directors go, Shinkai’s projects continue to be something worth looking forward to, and this holds true for his next film, Children Who Chase Lost Voices from Deep Below (Hoshi o Ou Kodomo). Yes, it’s somewhat of a mouthful in English, but give the teaser a look below and see what you think.
