January 13, 2010 Viz Pictures is bringing their New People Artist Series into the new year with an indie documentary focusing on photographer Daido Moriyama. One of the standout features of the doc is the fact that Moriyama has avoided media appearances until now, making it a unique and rare look into the way the man works, while also documenting his virgin foray into digital photography.
To celebrate the January 26 DVD release of Daido Moriyama: Stray Dog of Tokyo (pictured below), Viz Pictures is hosting a special one night theatrical screening of the film on the same date at Viz Cinema, located inside the New People store in San Francisco.
