Yesterday we posted about the miraculous circumstances that led to the Violet Evergarden: Eternity and the Auto Memories Doll spin-off anime film being completed just one day prior to the arson attack on Kyoto Animation. At the time, the full-length main Violet Evergarden feature was still scheduled for January 10, 2020, but that has since changed.
According to the latest update, the planned release has been postponed indefinitely. A new trailer was released to reflect the uncertain premiere date, and the official website posted a message to apologize to everyone who was looking forward to the release. They also thanked fans “for (their) continued support of the Violet Evergarden series.”
Stay tuned for more as Kyoto Animation announces updated release plans.
