There is good news for fans of The Wrong Way to Use Healing Magic — the anime is getting a second season! This information was announced at Otakon 2024.
Not a lot of information was disclosed, though. For instance, we don’t know when we might expect the new season, or if it will have a returning cast and staff.
However, we did get this teaser for the new season.
On top of that, some important people in the franchise shared their thoughts. First up is Kurokata, who wrote the original light novels. Kurokata said:
I am very excited to see Usato’s story animated once again and to see what happens with the new characters introduced in the second season. This opportunity for a second season is thanks to everyone who has supported the series and all the staff involved in ” The Wrong Way to Use Healing Magic.” I will continue to give my best to meet everyone’s expectations.
And Shogo Sakata, who plays Ken Usato in The Wrong Way to Use Healing Magic, also shared this comment:
I rushed over upon hearing the news about the production decision for Season 2 of ” The Wrong Way to Use Healing Magic”! I’m Shogo Sakata, the voice of Usato!!! I am incredibly, incredibly, super happy!!!!! This is all thanks to everyone’s support…!!! Thank you so much!!!!! Usato’s journey of delivering letters is about to begin…! I’m so excited!!! New comrades to meet and challenges to face…! We’ll crush any problem with a healing punch!!!
One Peace Books publishes both the original light novels, as well as their manga adaptation by Kugayama Reki. One Peace Books gave this description for The Wrong Way to Use Healing Magic first light novel:
