The World Ends With You Anime Set for April, New Game Revealed

Square Enix revealed some big news for The World Ends With You anime today, but it didn’t stop there. In addition to confirming a start month for the adaptation, Square Enix also announced a long-awaited sequel to the original game, titled NEO: The World Ends With You.

The action-RPG is currently planned for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4, with a release window of Summer 2021. Check out the announcement trailer and official description below.

As for the anime, The World Ends With You The Animation is set to premiere in April 2021.

Kazuya Ichikawa is directing, with Midori Goto on scripts and Tetsuya Nomura and Gen Kobayashi credited for character designs. The production will be a collaboration between Domerica and Shin-Ei Animation, and Funimation already confirmed plans to stream the series as it airs.
