The first trailer has officially arrived for The Strongest Sage with the Weakest Crest, an upcoming TV anime based on the light novel series by Shinkoshoto. The anime is currently scheduled to premiere on TV in Japan in January 2022, with Crunchyroll planning a simulcast for the same time.
The opening theme, “Leap of Faith,” will be performed by fripSide, while voice actress Yuki Nakashima is on the ending theme song, “Day of Bright Sunshine.” Check out the first promo ahead of the show’s premiere on Tokyo MX, BS11, and Sun TV below.
The Strongest Sage with the Weakest Crest is being directed by Noriaki Akitaya, with Hiroki Uchida supervising scripts for the J.C. Staff production. Square Enix Manga & Books publishes the manga adaptation by LIVER JAM&POPO (Friendly Land) and describes it like so:
His strength limited by the magical crest with which he was born, Mathias, the world’s most powerful sage, decides reincarnation is necessary to become the strongest of all.
