A premiere date spell has been cast for The Klutzy Witch anime film, which has Production I.G adapting the children’s book series by Satoko Narita. There are also some new cast members, and you can catch all the latest in the brief new teaser trailer below ahead of the film’s March 31, 2023 opening in Japan.

In addition to the previously announced main cast of Honoka Inoue as Fuka, Mutsumi Tamura as Chitose and Manaka Iwami as Karin, the new cast additions include Kensho Ono as Keith and Ayane Sakura as Lilica, pictured below, respectively.

Takayuki Hamana (The Seven Deadly Sins: Cursed by Light) is directing the feature, with Kiyoko Yoshimura (takt op.Destiny) handling the script and Marumi Sugita (chief animation director on Asteroid in Love) on character designs.

POPLAR publishes The Klutzy Witch series in English and describes it like so:

Fuka, a little witch, is training to be a better witch like her mother, a queen of Silver Castle. She is a lively girl and cares about her friends, but she gets into trouble sometimes. Karin, a princess of Green Castle, is Fuka’s best friend; and Chitose, a prince of Blue Castle, is her friend from childhood. Fuka goes to the Wood of Wolf to look for a tunnel with them, but they find a hole instead. This is an exciting story of adventure and friendship. It’s the first in the series.
