Production I.G’s The Klutzy Witch anime film opened in Japan on March 31, so now is a great time to acquaint ourselves with its lead while the movie is in theaters. Meet Fuka and see more of what’s on cinema screens right now in Japan in the clip below.

Takayuki Hamana (The Seven Deadly Sins: Cursed by Light) is directing the feature, with Kiyoko Yoshimura (takt op.Destiny) handling the script and Marumi Sugita (chief animation director on Asteroid in Love) on character designs.

POPLAR publishes The Klutzy Witch series—written by Satoko Narita and illustrated by Senno Enaga—in English and describes it like so:

Fuka, a little witch, is training to be a better witch like her mother, a queen of Silver Castle. She is a lively girl and cares about her friends, but she gets into trouble sometimes. Karin, a princess of Green Castle, is Fuka’s best friend; and Chitose, a prince of Blue Castle, is her friend from childhood. Fuka goes to the Wood of Wolf to look for a tunnel with them, but they find a hole instead. This is an exciting story of adventure and friendship. It’s the first in the series.
