The Dawn of the Witch is a sequel to the Grimoire of Zero light novel series, and it’s next in line for an anime adaptation. The latest update out of the Japanese Pocket Magazine Twitter account has the TV anime due out in April 2022, news of which was also confirmed on the cover of the December 2021 issue of Shonen Sirius that just hit shelves in Japan.

Here’s the cover of the issue with the confirmation:

The followup—written by Kakeru Kobashiri and illustrated by Takashi Iwasaki—first kicked off in 2018, and has three volumes compiled as of this month. A manga adaptation followed in 2019, and Kodansha USA started releasing digital volumes in July of this year. Here’s how they describe it:

Cervil is a magic student with no memories of his life before he met a mysterious blond woman in an alley. Now he travels with his teacher, Ross—another student, Holt, and the beastman Coudeau for “special training”… but this field trip may not be as routine as it seems!
