After all the final-final-final naming schemes in the world, the Attack on Titan anime is finally over, for real. The end came with the weekend debut of Attack on Titan Final Season THE FINAL CHAPTERS Special 2, which closed the series out with an epic 85-minute episode. To mark the spectacular, history-making occasion, Attack on Titan creator Hajime Isayama shared a special illustration bidding farewell to the leads that have carried us through the harrowing story since the beginning.

There was also a farewell illustration from Attack on Titan Final Season director Yuichiro Hayashi:

All of the Attack on Titan anime is available to stream on Crunchyroll, which describes it like so:

Known in Japan as Shingeki no Kyojin, many years ago, the last remnants of humanity were forced to retreat behind the towering walls of a fortified city to escape the massive, man-eating Titans that roamed the land outside their fortress. Only the heroic members of the Scouting Legion dared to stray beyond the safety of the walls – but even those brave warriors seldom returned alive.

Those within the city clung to the illusion of a peaceful existence until the day that dream was shattered, and their slim chance at survival was reduced to one horrifying choice: kill – or be devoured!
