The Ancient Magus’ Bride Trailer Shares Season Two Opening Theme

The second season for The Ancient Magus’ Bride anime will be here April 6, and in the meantime a second trailer has dropped. In the trailer you can hear the new opening theme song “Dear” being performed by JUNNA, who was also behind the original opening theme song “Here.”

The trailer also declares these new cast members: Daiki Yamashita plays Violet St. George, Minami Tanaka plays Jasmine St. George, Mari Uchiyama plays April Atwood, Miki Natsutani plays May Atwood, Kousuke Toriumi plays Narcisse Maugham, Mami Koyama plays Liza Quillyn, and Sayuri Sadaoka plays Lizbeth Sargant.

It had been previously revealed that Atsumi Tanezaki will play Chise, Ryōta Takeuchi will play Elias Ainsworth, Kouki Uchiyama will play Ruth, and Aya Endo will play Silky.

The last part of the anime franchise was the OAD The Ancient Magus’ Bride – The Boy from the West and the Knight of the Blue Storm.

Crunchyroll is all set to stream the second season, and gave this description for the series:

“Chise was able to accept Elias and herself, if not necessarily everything about her situation. After Cartaphilus fell back into a slumber that would not last forever, Chise was able to go back to her regular life. Then she receives an invitation from a mutual aid organization for mages called the College.

Under the British Library exists a secret society of mages. Encounters and interactions with people are about to open some new doors.

This is a story about saving yourself to save another.”

The original manga by Kore Yamazaki (titled Mahō Tsukai no Yome in Japanese) is published in North America by Seven Seas Entertainment. This upcoming second season of the anime will consist of the “Gakuin” (translated as “College”) arc from the manga.
