A brand new trailer debuted this weekend for That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime season 2, and while the trailer itself is currently region-locked to Japan, it came along with some good news. The second part of the second season is officially locked in for a July 6 premiere in Japan, and a new cast member has been announced along with the new opening and ending themes.
The latest voice cast member to get in on the fun is Akira Ishida (Kaworu Nagisa in Neon Genesis Evangelion), who will voice the mysterious Guy Crimson. MindaRyn is on the new opening theme song, “Like Flames,” and Satoru Mikami VA Takuma Terashima will close it out with the “Reincarnate” ending theme.
As for the source material, the original light novel and the manga adaptation of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime can officially boast a combined 25 million copies in print and sold digitally.
