In addition to this, it turns out the franchise is also getting a stage play! It’s set to run in Tokyo between September 27 and October 4, and is called Sengoku Youko The Stage Yo Naoshi Kyōdai-hen (translated as Sengoku Youko The Stage: World Reform Siblings Arc).

The anime is being made at WHITE FOX, with Masahiro Aizawa of Hakyu Hoshin Engi helming the project as director. Looking toward the voice actors, Soma Saito plays Jinka, Yuki Takada plays Tama, Ryohei Kimura plays Shinsuke, Tomoyo Kurosawa plays Shakugan, Hiroki Nanami plays Senya, Maaya Uchida plays Tsukiko, Kenji Nomura plays Jinun, Aki Toyosaki plays Nau, Tetsu Inada plays Doren, Kazuki Miyagi plays Resshin, Ayahi Takagaki plays Yama no Kami (a.k.a. The original manga by Satoshi Mizukami is being released in America by Tokyopop, which gave this description of the plot:

The world is divided into two factions: humans and monsters called katawara. Despite being a katawara, Tama loves humans and vows to protect them from evil, even if it means fighting her own kind. Her brother Jinka, however, hates humans, despite mostly being one. The siblings are joined by a cowardly swordsman named Shinsuke, who wants to learn how to become strong.
