Based on the manga by Hazano Kazutake, the Saint Cecilia and Pastor Lawrence anime is on the way to Japanese TV and Crunchyroll this summer. A new trailer made its way online this week, revealing more about the cast and theme songs and lining the series up for a July 12 premiere in Japan.
The trailer below includes samples of Sasanomaly ending theme “Tokoshie Star,” with ClariS performing opening theme song “Koisekai.” There are also two new cast additions in Tomoaki Maeno (Kinro in Dr. STONE) as Gieselbert and Reina Ueda (Lemon in MASHLE: MAGIC AND MUSCLES) as Frederica.
Sumie Noro is directing the Saint Cecilia and Pastor Lawrence anime, with Yuka Yamada on series composition and Hiromi Nakagawa handling character designs for the Doga Kobo production.
Kodansha USA publishes the manga in English and sums up the story:
Saint Cecilia is beloved by the townspeople—not only is she elegant and composed, she benevolently shares her wisdom with all who seek it. That is, until the last person has left—at which point she becomes totally hopeless! Only Pastor Lawrence, is keeping the Saint put together enough to do her duties…and though she may test him, it’s all in a day’s work!
