According to an update on the official website for the RWBY: Ice Queendom anime—which is an upcoming project based on the RWBY series by Rooster Teeth—the first three episodes are on their way to YouTube. The staff announced plans to stream the episodes starting on June 24 at 8:00pm Japan Time (4:00am Pacific/7:00am Eastern), and they will be available until June 26 at 11:59pm Japan Time.
The YouTube streams will be restricted to Japan, but the official website notes that the episodes will also be coming to Crunchyroll and Aniplus outside of Japan. A livestream featuring the staff will precede the episodes, but there’s no word on whether or not that portion will make its way to platforms other than YouTube.
The full premiere of the RWBY: Ice Queendom TV anime—which is directed by Toshimasa Suzuki (Lagrange – The Flower of Rin-ne)—is slated for July 3 on Tokyo MX and BS11, followed by MBS on July 5. Crunchyroll plans to stream the series both in the original Japanese with English subtitles and in English-dubbed form.

Here’s how Rooster Teeth sums up the story:
RWBY: Ice Queendom’ presents RWBY in beautiful 2D anime visuals. RWBY imagines a world filled with horrific monsters bent on death and destruction, and humanity’s only hope is dependent upon powerful Huntsmen and Huntresses. Ruby Rose, Weiss Schnee, Blake Belladonna, and Yang Xiao Long are four such Huntresses in training whose journeys will take them far past the grounds of their school, Beacon Academy. Though each may be powerful on their own, these four girls must overcome dark forces and work as a team if they truly hope to become the next generation of Remnant’s protectors.
