A new Butt Detective anime film is on the way to Japan as part of the Toei Manga Matsuri omnibus film series on August 13, and another guest cast member is along for the ride. The latest is Rio Suzuki (Dororo in the 2019 Dororo anime, Mimi Atachi in Yu-Gi-Oh! Sevens), who will voice a resident of Sufure Island named Lulu.

The next Butt Detective movie is titled Eiga Oshiri Tantei: Sufure-to no Himitsu (Butt Detective the Movie: The Secret of Sufūre Island), and it will screen along with the Shinkai no Survival (Survive! In the Deep Sea) feature during the event. This one is set on an island full of steep cliffs that require locals to take the skies and ride on the wind.
Akifumi Zako (Hugtto! Precure) is directing the latest installment, with Natsuko Takahashi writing the film’s script with Jun Narita for the Toei Animation production.
