Revolutionary Girl Utena Gets New Merch to Celebrate 20th Anniversary

Revolutionary Girl Utena merchandiseDirector Kunihiko Ikuhara’s Revolutionary Girl Utena anime turned 20 this year, and to celebrate, Japan has seen a range of merchandise, exhibitions and more dedicated to the series.

Now a few more pieces of merchandise have been snuck in at the end of the year before Utena turns legal drinking age.

The five items, each of which cost ¥800 plus tax, are:

A wall-mounted clock.

A life-sized plush version of Anthy’s friend ChuChu.

Pouches.

Wall stickers.

Button and postcard set.

Additionally, the seventh, 77th and 777th person to order one of the above items will receive this locket.

Finally, three lucky folks who retweet details about the Utena items will receive free wall stickers.

If you’re not sure why people are still digging Utena 20 years on, you are in luck: a 20th anniversary Blu-ray set is coming out December 19.
