Record-Breaking, Giant Attack on Titan Manga Sold Out in Two Minutes

We recently posted about a limited edition of the Attack on Titan manga that is so big it became the Guinness World Record holder for Largest Comic Book Published. Pre-orders for the volume—which was limited to 100 copies and priced at ¥150,00 (about $1,397)—were such a hot commodity that it sold out in just two minutes.

The colossal Attack on Titan manga volume is 96 pages long, which is just enough to include the first two chapters of Hajime Isayama’s manga. It weights 13.7 kg and stands at 1.01 meters tall and 0.71 meters wide. It’s so huge, in fact, that Kodansha advised buyers to store it flat so it doesn’t buckle under its own weight.
