rascal does not dream

Originally announced in September 2022, Rascal Does Not Dream of a Sister Venturing Out is a sequel anime film to the Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai anime, both based on the Seishun Buta Yaro light novel series by Hajime Kamoshida. The film will open in Japan on June 23, and a new trailer made its way online this weekend to show more of what’s to come along with a sample of the theme song, which has Yurika Kubo singing “Fukashigi no Karte” as Kaede Azusagawa.

Soichi Masui is once again directing the project, which will adapt the Rascal Does Not Dream of a Sister Venturing Out and Rascal Does Not Dream of a Knapsack Kid light novels.

Based on the light novels written by Hajime Kamoshida and illustrated by Keji Mizoguchi, Crunchyroll streams the first Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai anime and describes it like so:

Puberty syndrome – Abnormal experiences rumored on the internet to be caused by sensitivity and instability during adolescence. This year, Sakuta Azusagawa, a second-year student at a high school near Enoshima, meets several girls that are experiencing this “puberty syndrome.” For instance, he meets a wild bunny girl in the library. She turns out to be an actress on hiatus, Mai Sakurajima, who is also his senior at the school. For some reason, no one else can see this enchanting girl. How did she become invisible…?
