Last month, the Pokémon Journeys anime was one of many shows to get hit by a COVID-19 related delay. That hiatus will soon come to an end, though, because the series is officially set to return to the airwaves in Japan on June 7.
This marks the longest period for the Pokémon anime to be off TV in Japan since the 1997 Porygon seizure incident briefly put a stop to it over 20 years ago. The Twitter account shared the new illustration of Ash and Goh above to celebrate.
Pokémon Journeys will also hit Netflix in English on June 12, so we’ll be able to check it out for ourselves soon.
