Ouran High School Host Club Goes Live-Action

If you happen to love both dramas AND Ouran High School Host Club, then today’s news is pretty much your ideal brew. Next Tuesday’s issue of Hakusensha’s LaLa magazine is formally announcing a live-action television series set to air on Japan’s TBS network this July.

Headlining the series are Yusuke Yamamoto (Kamen Rider Kabuto, Hana Zakari no Kimitachi e) as Host Club President Tamaki Suo, and Haruna Kawaguchi (Yankee-kun to Megane-chan, Moshidora) as the heroine, Haruhi Fujioka.

The last time Bisco Hatori’s manga was adapted, it was in the form of the 2006 anime series, which ran for 26 episodes.
