Every now and again, someone in Japan decides it’s a good idea to fetishize Nazi uniforms and make a fool of themselves. That’s the case with a new host club that recently opened in Osaka, which has hosts dressed up in Nazi-style uniforms emblazoned with swastikas. It’s as stupid as it sounds.
The bar—known as Unfair—has the tagline “Life is a bet,” and has also been spotted being advertised on the side of a trick driving through the Minami entertainment district where it’s located. Previous listings on host sites Star Guys and Host x Host enticed potential customers to “Get intoxicated with this new style host club!,” but those appear to have been removed or set to private since.
Here’s one of the promotional videos:

@MikiDezaki also offered up an example of what the bar looks like on the inside:
While the Buddhist manji is not an uncommon sight in Japan and deeply embedded in its culture, Nazis perverted that symbol for their own fascist means. The fact that Unfair also leans heavily on the actual uniforms with other well-known Nazi iconography makes it a pretty gross concept. It’s not the first time something like this has been so boldly broadcast and advertised in public, and sadly it’s not likely to be the last.
