A new ad in Japan puts Luffy and the gang from One Piece in the real world. The ad is for a takeout app called “menu,” and you can see how excited Luffy is for the food he ordered.
The commercial is debuting in Japan today, set to play specifically in the Kansai, Kanto, Sapporo, Nagoya, Fukuoka, Sendai, and Hiroshima areas.
But there’s more to it. If buyers spend at least 2,000 yen on the app (about $18.50) and post a review for the service, they’re entitled to medals they can apply to get One Piece merchandise, like totes or badges.
