This week’s Comic-Con@Home 2021 event was host to a special Dragon Ball Super movie panel, with Goku VA Masako Nozawa present along with Toei Animation producer Norihiro Hayashida and Toriyama’s editor and Dragon Ball series executive producer Akio Iyoku. While discussing the new film—which was previously announced with heavy involvement from creator Akira Toriyama—they revealed the full title, art for a new character, some existing designs, and a brief clip of a new style of animation for Goku.
Due out in 2022, the movie is titled Dragon Ball Super: SUPER HERO. According to Iyoku, Toriyama was writing the script for this one while Dragon Ball Super: Broly was in production, and adds that “he’s even more invested this time.”
