New Sailor Moon Anime to Air in July

If you, like pretty much everyone else, are looking forward to the upcoming Sailor Moon anime, you can now mark your calendars. The official website finally settled on a more specific time frame, with the series planned to make its debut in July.

Toei Animation is producing Sailor Moon, with Munehisa Sakai (One Piece TV episodes, One Piece Film Strong World, episode director on Heartcatch Precure!) serving as director and Yuji Kobayashi (Ultraman Mebius, Saint Seiya Omega) on series composition.

As previously reported, rather than remaking the previous anime, the 20th anniversary Sailor Moon series will be a fresh adaptation of Naoko Takeuchi’s original manga.
