Sure, ARISE may be the new game in town, but don’t count out Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, which is still incredibly popular over 10 years after airing.
But don’t take my word for it: proof of the continued love for the series has landed on the web this week with the announcement of a new Motoko Kusanagi figurine courtesy Union Creative.
The figurine, which is entitled “Hdge technical statue No. 6 Ghost in the Shell SAC Motoko Kusanagi,” shows the Major in the midst of a thermoptic camouflage transformation, with the bottom half of her legs all transparenty-like.
The figurine will be released in September and cost 11880 yen (about $100), which is a recent chunk of change, but less than what we paid for SAC on its initial DVD release, when everybody used to buy discs one at a time. Ah, the memories.
