We’re less than two months away from the premiere of Netflix’s live-action Death Note adaptation, and it seems the recent Ryuk tease was just a lead-in to something more substantial. That something is here in the form of a full trailer, which sets up the story and gives good ol’ Willem Dafoe some time to shine as the voice of the wicked Shinigami Ryuk.

The Adam Wingard-directed Death Note hits Netflix on August 25.
