One of the many delights of this season’s adaptation of Shinichi Fukuda’s My Dress-Up Darling manga is the ending theme by Akari Akase. “Koi no Yukue” (“Where does love go?”) marks the cosplayer’s singer debut, and the single also led to Akase making her stage performance debut in full Marin Kitagawa cosplay.

Akase performed at the Odaiba! Hyperdimension Music Festival – Happy Valentine’s Day Festival 2022 from Yokohama -supported by Coke ON event, which was held at Tokyo’s Pia Arena MM on February 12. Here’s what she had to say about the occasion:

“Thank you very much for the Hyperdimension Music Festival! … It was the first time for me to sing in front of an audience, but I enjoyed it very much. I have some regrets, but I sang this song with all my heart to the people listening to it, so I’m glad if they could feel it. I’m going to use this regret as a springboard to do my best in the future!”

Here are some more photos from her debut:

The “Koi no Yukue” music video has been viewed over three million times on YouTube. Might as well add a few more views while we’re at it!

Next up is the CD single for the song, which hits stores in Japan on February 23.
