SMALL WORLDS TOKYO is holding a special exhibition next spring in Ariake, Tokyo, and the star of this one is a miniature reproduction of Tokyo-3 from Neon Genesis Evangelion. The model recreates the area where Unit-01 is stored within NERV along with the above ground New Tokyo-3 City Area, all at an impressively accurate 1/80 scale.
Applications to live in the city will open on August 9, with adults priced at ¥19,800 (about $186) and minors priced at ¥17,600 ($165). Now, you might be asking yourself how you could possibly live in such a small city, but they’ve already thought of it. While you won’t be able to move in yourself, SMALL WORLDS will make a 3D scanned figure of you for placement within the city.
The exhibition will also show off the Tokyo-based Azabu-Juban neighborhood from Sailor Moon, based off the manga version and complete with a rooftop patrolling Tuxedo Mask.
Beyond the fictional areas, SMALL WORLDS TOKYO will showcase miniature reproductions of an area in Tokyo, Kansai International Airport, and a Space Center area with a shuttle launch produced by Macross and AKB0048‘s Shoji Kawamori.
