If you missed your chance to check out the latest from Makoto Shinkai (The Place Promised in Our Early Days, 5 Centimeters per Second) at Otakon, the director will also be attending October’s New York Anime Festival.
The convention takes place October 13-16 at the Javits Center in Midtown Manhattan as part of the sixth annual New York Comic Con. Not only will Shinkai be attending, but his latest film, Children Who Chase Lost Voices from Deep Below (our review), will be making its New York premiere. The film’s North American premiere took place last weekend at Otakon.
Makoto Shinkai’s trip is being co-sponsored by Crunchyroll. He will participate in a Q&A session and dedicate time to autographing during both public signings and sessions reserved for NYAF VIPs.
