Along with the Wilds of Eldraine expansion cards for Magic: The Gathering, some of the older cards are getting reprints with anime art featured. To highlight this addition, the folks behind Magic debuted an official anime trailer with production by maxilla, Qzil.la, S.o.K. and Studio Pierrot.
The anime stylings don’t stop at the visuals. The voice cast in the three-minute short includes the likes of Yui Ishikawa (Mikasa Ackerman in Attack on Titan) as Rowan and Yuichiro Umehara (Goblin Slayer in GOBLIN SLAYER) as Will. Awich and Hiroyuki Sawano provide the backing track, “Twin Fates.”
Magic: The Gathering players can already dive into the Wilds of Eldraine expansion in the mobile and PC game. A physical release for the cards will follow on September 8, 2023.
