Japanese company Space Walker describes itself as “conducting research and development in three fields: scientific mission, small satellite launch, and space tourism in collaboration with the Space System Laboratory, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Science and Technology, Tokyo University of Science.”
It’s hoping to start doing space tourism in 2029, and in 2021 it’s doing some fun things for kids and enlisted none other than Macross creator Shoji Kawamori to help. Kawamori put out three different spaceship designs on Children’s Day, and polling went underway to discover people’s favorite.

At the end of the polling, design B was declared the winner. Kawamori also made a reference Macross fans will catch when he wrote, “Let’s spread more deculture throughout space.”
Space Walker also put out this version of the space ship for kids to color in and submit.
