Studio Ghibli has come out with new merchandise this month in the form of jewelry starring some of its heroines. These cameo brooches are inspired by characters from the films Howl’s Moving Castle, Kiki’s Delivery Service, Castle in the Sky, Whisper of the Heart, Porco Rosso, and The Borrower Arietty. Surprisingly, Miyazaki’s biggest titles Spirited Away and Princess Mononoke are not involved.
However, you can’t just buy whichever character you want. There are two options for buying — you can buy an individual brooch, in which case you’ll receive something random. Or you can buy the entire set and make sure you get which one or ones you want. As a whole they’re known as the Cameo Brooch Collection. As individuals they cost about $9. The set is available at Donguri Closet stores.
